How small business turn into the popular paradise for food lovers?
In 1947, a hardworking boy, Mr. Kishan Lal Sethi came to Rewari from Peshawar through a refugee camp after partition and then to Dehradun a few years later, he began operating a small cart in Moti Bazaar Chowk, where he sold chickpeas, with its good taste recipes slowly-slowly he begin earning good income and started expanding his small business. He also started making some more recipes’ one of which is chole katlambe, Chole katlambe is slightly different from bhature, stuffing of curd and semolina is done in it so it is slightly crunchy. Chole katlambe were loved by the residents of Dehradun and also by the outsiders because of this great response from people Sethi ji got popular with the name katlambe wala and later sethi’s food corner. After Kishan lal Sethi death his sons expanded it further and turn handcart into a shop. One of his grandsons-vivek Sethi is offering veg tandoori momos and different types of soya chap near Ansari marg with the name sethi’s food corner. Presently, Divye Sethi is the owner of sethi’s chole katlambe. It was started by Divye Sethi Grandfather and now Divye Sethi is looking after this shop.
