Yamunotri Dham

It will take approx30 minutes to cover 1-kilometer thus; you can land to yamunotri in about 2.5-3 hours. For kids there is pithhu facility provided and for the elderly there is doli facility. Among our ancestors there was a sage known as jai muni, he sat at this location and did deep meditation to worship maa Yamuna, through this he prayed to ma Yamuna to appear on the earth at this location.
Gangotri Dham

Talking about the gangotri dham, the parking of the vehicle is about 1 to 1.5 kms away from the temple and if you have huge luggage then, you might need a porter. Five generations later, king Bhagirath came to this location and did marvelous meditation for Ma Ganga for 5,500 years. It was the ma Ganga granted his wish but she wondered who would tolerate her powerful flow when she landed the earth.
Then she herself answered that there was only one man who could tolerate the powerful flow of maa Ganga and he was great saint lord bholenath and when the great saint heard ganga ma answer he placed his feet firmly on two separate mountains and chanted har har gange and after this ma ganga landed on the forehead of lord bholenath.
Kedarnath yatra

For kedarnath yatra, you need to begin your trek from sonprayag and in case you are physically fit with minimal breaks you can land from sonprayag to kedarnath in about five hours.
A person who visits this holy place at least once and sees the kedareshwar Maharaj with his own eyes is released from the cycle of death and life. It is also believed that during satyug period, two incarnations of lord Vishnu, narayan and nar also meditated at this place so, pleased with their meditation lord mahadev appeared before them himself.
He also asked the two sages what they want but, since the two sages had no needs, they told lord mahadev that we are satisfies with just watching you in person but, for the welfare of the world and also mankind they requested to settle down the place in the form of jyotirlingam.
Badrinath Dham

For badrinath dham, you can take vehicle right upto the parking point of the temple. The modern age was about to start so, lord Vishnu said that he won’t appear directly in front of the devotees, he also said that he would appear in the form of a statue though thus, lord Vishnu lent all of his image to statue which was established and created not by any artist, the statue is believed to have been created himself by lord Vishnu. When the Buddhism was on the rise this statue was removed from here and put into narad kund. Guru Adi sankaracharya took lord Vishnu’s statue and reestablished it inside the temple.
