Jhilmil cave is dedicated to Guru Gorakshnath, this cave was established by Saraswati Nijanand swami Ji. Several additional well-known spiritual gurus meditated in these caverns after the highly well-known guru Alha Udals. Jhilmil is derived from the name of the Guru Jhilmila Ji, who also resided in one of these caves. The most well-known Hindu monk achieved enlightenment in the cave. In addition to the cave, you will also see the incredibly ornate Shiva temple known as Neelkanth Mahadev, which is situated in the middle of the Neelkanth Mountains.This cave is quite old, and it has many ancient secrets. Jhilmil Cave’s mystery goes beyond its religious importance. Captivating rock formations, such as ascending formations called stalagmites and hanging icicle-like structures called stalactites, embellish its interiors. HOW TO REACH
Jhilmil Cave can be reached by two different paths. The first alternative involves travelling 12 km down the Badrinath Highway from Rishikesh, then 30 km on the Neelkanth expressway. This route is most probably dusky.
Starting from the Ramjhula Bridge, the second and more daring option is a 5- to 6-hour journey. Remember that the cave is located in the Manikoot Kajri Van region of Rajaji National Park.
