In the 1960s, the renowned saint Shri Neem Karoli Baba founded Kainchi Dham in Kainchi village along the Nainital-Almora route. There’s a river near it, hills and trees all around this sacred temple and ashram.
The Kainchi Dham is a well-known Hanuman temple situated within the Kumaon Mountains. The location provides the ideal combination of spirituality and beauty. In the 1960s, a very spiritual local saint named Neem Karoli Baba founded the temple. Additionally, Neem Karoli Baba, who is thought to be a manifestation of Lord Hanuman, has his ashram there. At the ashram, devotees assert that they may sense the heavenly presence of Neem Karoli Baba and Lord Hanuman. The ashram’s name is derived from its geographical position, which has a scissor-like (or “kainchi” in Hindi) shape due to the two hills that surround it cutting and crossing one another. Jobs became awakened while meditating at the ashram. The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, later made a trip to the Kainchi Dham in search of enlightenment and tranquility.

By Air: Pantnagar Airport, located around 70 miles from Kainchi Dham, is the closest airport. From the airport, there are taxis and local buses that go to the ashram.
By Rail: Kathgodam, the closest major train station, is approximately 38 kilometers away from this location. You may take a bus or a cab from Kathgodam to Kainchi Dham.
By Road: Kainchi Dham is conveniently located near Nainital and other surrounding cities. You may go there by car or bus.
