Vasudhara Waterfall is located in Badrinath Valley, Chamoli Garhwal District, Uttarakhand, at an elevation of 3657 meters above sea level. The 400-foot-tall (120-meter) Vasudhara Fall empties into the Alaknanda River and flows in the direction of the Badrinath Temple. Vasudhara Waterfall is 9 kilometers away from Badrinath and a 5 km hike from Mana Village. Vasudhara is the name of Lord Vishnu, meaning “Vasu,” and “Dhara,” which means “Waterfall.” It is said that the water from this spring does not come into contact with the bodies of sinners; if, however, the sacred water of this spring begins to fall upon you, you are a pure soul.

HOW TO REACH?
You have two options for getting to Vasudhara Falls from Badrinath: hiking or hiring a mule.
By air: Vashudhara, which is located close to Badrinath, is around 325 km away from the closest airport, Jolly Grant Airport in DehradunBy Train: There are train stations in Haridwar, Dehradun, and Rishikesh. Rishikesh is the closest railhead from Vashu Dhara, approximately 280 miles away. Vashu Dhara is reachable by bus or taxi from Rishikesh.
By Road: Mana hamlet, which is located 2 kilometers from Badrinath, is around a 7-kilometer hike from Vasu Dhara. Regular state transportation buses run between Badrinath and Rishikesh, a distance of 280 kilometers. Local Transport Union buses and State Transport buses go 280 km (from Badrinath to Rishikesh), 300 km (from Haridwar to Dehradun), and 540 km (from Delhi) between these locations.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
Tourists can typically reach Mana Village and Vasudhara Fall between the second week of May and October or November, when the Badrinath temple is open to the public.
